Attention Parents: Vaccination Information
The Pennsylvania Department of Health requires children in ALL grades (K-12) to have the following vaccinations for school attendance in 2011-12:
- 4 doses of tetanus (1 dose on or after 4th birthday)
- 4 doses of diphtheria (1 dose on or after 4th birthday)
- 3 doses of polio
- 2 doses of measles (usually given as MMR)
- 2 doses of mumps (usually given as MMR)
- 1 dose of rubella (German measles) (usually given as MMR)
- 3 doses of hepatitis B
- 3 doses or varicella (chickenpox), or evidence of immunity
In addition, PA law requires children entering grade 7 in 2011-2012 to have the following vaccinations:
- 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)
- 1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) (if five years have elapsed since last tetanus immunization)
Please continue to send your children’s immunization records to the building nurse. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s building nurse.
