• Bus Assignment & Transportation Guidelines

Student assignments to buses or vans are reviewed annually and routes and stops are determined in the summer. Parents will receive notification in early August via Skylert Message that their child's transportation information is available in the Skyward parent portal. Bus stop change requests must be submitted to the Transportation Office by August 12, 2019, to be effective on the first day of the 2019-2020 school year. Requests received between August 13 and August 26, 2019, will take effect September 9, 2019.

Students transported by Cornwall-Lebanon School District contracted services are assigned one seat on one bus for both AM and PM. These assignments may differ in the AM and PM. Assignments are based on the student’s home address.

If transportation is necessary from an alternate address for your student(s), a "Request of Change of Transportation Form" must be completed. This form is also available at the District Office 105 E. Evergreen Road (Educational Services Center). Cornwall-Lebanon School District attempts to work with all families while staying consistent with our bus loads and routes. All requests will be reviewed on an individual basis and Administration has the right to reject requests. Requests for a permanent stop change must be submitted in writing four days prior to the starting date of the request.

If your request for a transportation stop change is due to caregiving needs, please complete the CareGiver Request for Transportation Stop form prior to July 9, 2019, for the 2019-2020 school year.

Emergency requests may be accepted for a limited number of reasons. Requests must be submitted in writing and made as early as possible for the building principal to review. Acceptable reasons for an emergency request may include: death in the family, medical emergency, student’s parents are out of town, or parent’s work schedule has changed. Unacceptable reasons include: spending the night at a friend’s house, going to a dance, going to work, or attending a sports practice or event.

Activity Buses are available for CCHS and CCMS students who remain after school for school-related activities. Schedules are posted in the main offices of the middle and high schools.

Transportation for Students in Non-Public Schools

Pennsylvania law requires school districts to transport any school-aged child enrolled in a non-public school and residing within its boundaries, if transportation is provided to the district's own students. All Bus Assignments & Guidelines in the section above apply to non-public school students riding CLSD provided transportation. See the link at the left for more important information, including Hub and Modified Schedules.
