Home / CCHS / Superintendent’s Update (3/29/2021) – CCHS shift to virtual

Good afternoon Cornwall-Lebanon Families.

As you are aware, we continue to monitor COVID positive cases of students and staff in our buildings as required by the Pennsylvania Health and Education departments. We also are required to shift to a virtual instructional model based on the number of active positive cases in a school building.

Because of increased active positive COVID cases at Cedar Crest High School, CCHS will need to shift to virtual instruction for Tuesday, March 30 and Wednesday, March 31. All other district buildings will continue with normal operations.

Our high school and all our District schools have been tremendously successful in their mitigation efforts and we continue to not have the transmission of COVID within our school environment. This is due to the ongoing cooperation of our students, staff, and families.

With COVID cases in the community increasing slightly over the last several weeks, it is not surprising that this would affect our numbers of positive cases with students and staff members.

Again: CCHS will be shifting to a virtual instructional model for Tuesday, March 30, and Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Mr. Groff, CCHS principal, will be communicating further details to students about the instructional model for these two days.

We look forward to Cedar Crest High School students returning for the Fourth Marking period on Tuesday, April 6. This will be a Gray cohort in-person day. Students in the Blue cohort will log in remotely.

Thank you again for your cooperation,

Phil
