Good afternoon CLSD Families. We are excited to begin the 2021-2022 school year next Monday, August 30th.

Many activities have taken place on our campuses and in our schools over the summer. As we begin the school year, more than 95% of our students are returning to in-person learning. Our virtual option also is available for students and families. Cornwall-Lebanon School District will continue to provide the best possible learning opportunities for our students and families, whatever their individual situations.

A week ago Monday, the CLSD Board of School Directors approved the CLSD Health and Safety Plan for 2021-2022. This plan was shared with all families earlier in July.  Please note that this plan may change based on governmental mandates or based on the actual local community and school data on COVID-19. Our Pandemic Team is continuing to review our local data, as well as, updates from the PA Department of Health and PA Department of Education. While we realize that any changes are frustrating for many of our families, this does remain a dynamic situation.

The current CLSD Health and Safety Plan permits the optional wearing of face coverings. Please review the updated FAQs on our website for more details about this issue.

We know that the CLSD community will continue to demonstrate respect and understanding for everyone’s different health needs and the individual decisions that students and staff make with regards to face coverings.

Everyone’s cooperation continues to be very important as we begin this school year. It is imperative that parents and guardians use the daily symptom checker provided by the District and not send children to school who are symptomatic or have tested positive for COVID-19. As noted above, if we have any additional requirements from the state or federal government, or if circumstances warrant, we will advise our families as soon as we have the details.

Please see the CLSD Health and Safety Plan and FAQs at the link on our website: www.clsd.K12.pa.us.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we look forward to another successful school year in the Cornwall-Lebanon School District, beginning Monday, August 30!

Enjoy the remainder of your summer.
