At the February meeting of the Cornwall-Lebanon School Board, Dr. Mariah Rackley presented Abena Obuobisa to the Board as the 2022 Cedar Crest Middle School Student of the Year.
Abena is a member of CCMS Envirothon, Morning Announcements crew, track team, and plays clarinet in the school band. She tutors her peers and friends to help them with their academics. Outside of school, she plays the piano and takes tap and ballet lessons.
Abena is a quiet leader who takes the initiative to do things that need to be done. Her teachers describe her as brilliant, thoughtful, and personable. She is a motivated student who is driven to be the best that she can be, sets high expectations, and demonstrates great citizenship within the Cedar Crest community.
