In August, Cornwall-Lebanon School District notified families that the federal government had not extended the Universal Free Meals waiver for the 2022-2023 school year. We started this school year with breakfast and lunch meals being offered on a Free, Reduced or Paying basis.
Recently, however, Gov. Wolf announced a Universal Free Breakfast program for all students in Pennsylvania, which will begin on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022. This program applies only to breakfast meals. Lunch meals will continued to be offered at Free, Reduced or Paying Status, according to the following chart:
Effective October 3, 2022, Meal Prices are as follows:
|Middle School Breakfast||—||—||—|
|Middle School Lunch||—||$0.40||$2.85|
|High School Breakfast||—||—||—|
|High School Lunch||—||$0.40||$2.95|
· The à la carte price of milk remains at $.50 per carton
CLSD student families that are unable to pay in full for student Lunch meals may be eligible for Free or Reduced-price Lunch meals, based on income level or government assistance, and are encouraged to apply online here for the quickest processing. You also may contact your school’s office for a paper application for free or reduced-price meals. Families who are currently receiving SNAP, TANF or specific MA do not need to submit an application as they are Directly Certified for free Lunch meals by the state. Families should submit only one application, either online or on paper.
