    Director of Special Education/Pupil Services (12 MONTH) 

    Director of Special Education/Pupil Services position available August 1, 2019. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, supervise and develop programs that support the overall mission of the district by ensuring that all students have or attain competencies necessary to benefit from the instructional program.  Responsibility to ensure a Free and Appropriate Public Education for all students who receive special education services. Direct responsibility for managing Chapter 14 (special education), Chapter 12 (guidance, psychological services, school health), Chapter 15 (Americans with Disabilities Act), and Chapter 16 (gifted education), programs/services in the district. 

    Qualifications: The Director of Special Education/Pupil Services must be properly certified in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as to supervise special education and pupil services and other programs as defined.  Superintendent letter of eligibility is preferred or similar qualification (Supervisor of Special Education and Supervisor of Pupil Services; K-12 principal) will be considered.

    Professional & Support Staff Positions

    Mandatory Requirements

    If you are offered a position with the Cornwall-Lebanon School District, please be advised that the following information will be required for employment.

    Act 168 - Employment History Review

    All applicants must fill out a separate Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release form (Act 168) for his/her current employer, as well as, each employer where he/she had direct contact with children, regardless of whether the employer was a school entity.  Complete the employer information section and section one of the form below.  Return the form to the District office. Cornwall-Lebanon School District will send the form to your previous/current employer for section two to be completed.

    State and Federal Clearances

    The originals of each clearance must be shown, and verified by Cornwall-Lebanon School District staff if you ultimately are offered employment. Clearances need to be dated within one year of proposed hire date. Click on the links below for information about each clearance.

    PA State Police Clearance

    Apply online and receive results immediately. Print and retain the receipt containing the control number (this starts with the letter "R").

    Child Abuse Clearance

    The online Child Abuse Clearance site requires you to create an account and submit your request electronically.  Results will be emailed/mailed (your choice when registering) to you within 14 days of submission.

    FBI Fingerprint Clearance

    An applicant must register on the Identogo website prior to visiting a fingerprint site. When registering for your fingerprints through the Identogo website, you MUST click on digital fingerprinting and add this service code: 1KG6XN. Cornwall-Lebanon School District cannot accept FBI clearances that were processed through the Department of Public Welfare / Department of Human Services.
