CCMS held a very successful 6th Grade Welcome Social this year. Despite the high humidity on August 13, approximately 150 incoming 6th graders and 20 parent volunteers came to South Hills park. Students rotated through eleven stations, that included learning how to use a combination lock, several outdoor games, and creating a beaded fidgit craft. They also learned about middle school life while eating popsicles with their principals. The Chick-fil-A Cow was a special guest! Students reported making new friends and feeling excited about starting middle school on August 25.
All students received a Falcon spirit cup filled with a few treats, a milkshake certificate for Chick-fil-A, a middle school survival kit from CIPSPA, and a thank-you note to credit all sponsors. Some students also won school spirit raffle prizes!
Shout out to CCMS PSP, South Hills Park, CISPA, and Chick-fil-A for partnering with us for a wonderful event! Check out more images in the Live Feed at the bottom of our webpage.
