In the spring, the Pennsylvania Department of Education announced its 12 finalists in the running to be named the Commonwealth’s 2027 Teacher of the Year.

One of this year’s finalists is Cornwall-Lebanon School District’s own Kerrie Becker, a sixth-grade math teacher at Cedar Crest Middle School.

“Mrs. Becker is a true teammate and is humbly accepting this recognition on behalf of the amazing teammates, students, and parents that have worked together to serve our students throughout the year,” shared CCMS Principal Joe Burton.

Pennsylvania’s 2027 Teacher of the Year will be announced in December 2026.
