Congratulations to CCMS's Natalie Tran for earning a spot in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 7 Band! More than 300 students from Central PA auditioned for this band on 12/6/2025 ... only 120 students were accepted. The accepted students will rehearse on 2/6 and 2/7 and perform a concert on 2/7/2026 at Steelton-Highspire HS.
What is so notable about this? Most of the students who make the band are high school-aged. Natalie earned a spot as an 8th grader! She plays the clarinet and finished 10th overall on her instrument, a very high placement for a middle school student.

The top 5th and 6th graders from 30 Central PA schools combined to perform a concert on November 22 at Manheim Central Middle School.
Cedar Crest Middle School had the most students selected for the honors band out of all 30 schools attending!
Check the the NEWS article on the CCMS and CLSD websites for more details.

The last Falcon runner to win PIAA gold was Nick MacFalls in 1990.

These two Book Buddies from South Lebanon Elementary School (1st grade) and CCMS (7th grade) did a great job leading the Pledge of Allegiance at the October meeting of the CLSD School Board. Thanks, Cody and Elouise!
