In recognition of her hard work both in and out of the classroom, Denver Davis was chosen as the 2025-2026 Cornwall Elementary School Student of the Year.

“Denver is the kind of student who brightens every space she enters,” shared Cornwall Principal Nate Artz. “She loves people and has a natural ability to make others feel seen, included, and valued.”

Academically, Denver worked hard and excelled every day. Her favorite subjects are math and gym, and she consistently shows determination in the classroom. She was involved in music and enjoyed playing flag football. In addition, she was a bus leader.

In his remarks to the Cornwall-Lebanon School District Board of School Directors on Monday, April 13, Artz provided an example of Denver’s leadership:

“Denver’s compassion and leadership were especially evident this year. In her role as a bus leader, she handled challenging situations with honesty, maturity, and grace—often helping her peers work through conflict in a respectful way.”

In her remarks, Denver expressed gratitude to her teachers for their support and guidance and shared a message of thanks directly to the Board: “Thank you for continuing to invest in students like me.”
