Delanie Spotts smiles for the camera while holding her Student of the Year award plaque

On Monday, April 20, Delanie Spotts was named Ebenezer Student of the Year for 2025-2026. Principal Greg Fulkerson presented the honor in recognition of her impact on her school community and her personification of Ebenezer’s core values.

“Delanie is the type of school citizen that we all hope our students to be,” shared Fulkerson during his presentation to the Cornwall-Lebanon School District Board of School Directors. “She is a motivated student who is driven to be the best she can be, sets high expectations for herself, and demonstrates great citizenship within the Ebenezer community.”

Within school, Delanie is a member of band, chorus, Ebenezer Encores, and is a book buddy with a first-grade student. She also qualified for the Ebenezer Geography Bee. Outside of school, Delanie plays piano and soccer, participates in multiple dance classes and karate, and loves spending time with her family.

Delanie expressed gratitude in her remarks to the Board of School Directors:

I'm truly honored to be named student of the year at Ebenezer Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year. I would like to thank the many people who helped me reach this achievement. First, thank you to the members of the school board for supporting our schools and students. I'm also very grateful to my family for always encouraging me both in school and in life. Thank you to the teachers for helping me learn, grow, and become a better person each day. And thank you to my friends for being kind, supportive, and encouraging over the years.
