On December 17, 2024, students at Union Canal participated in the annual Geography Bee.
Fourth grade students participating were Benjamin Root, Griffyn Aurentz, Gavin Wright, Evangeline Blouch, Owen Shay, Anthony Korn, Unessy Sabino, Semaj Daniels, Brayden Davis and Natham Barrantes. 5th grade students that participated are Dylan Byers, Ananya Deshpande, Boyd Felty, Alex Kaighn, Alex Koch, Paul Tomlinson, Angel Ramos, Samuel Bowser, Maddy Mishoe and Kaylee Wise.
