Falcon Foundation Offers Grants and Awards! The Falcon Foundation, incorporated in 2000, is committed to its goal of connecting the community, students, and families of the Cornwall-Lebanon School District through funding or partial funding of educational and enrichment opportunities (social, cultural and athletic) for all people in the Cornwall-Lebanon community. The Foundation is pleased to announce that Grants and Awards will again be offered this fall and spring to district students, employees and community members. The deadline each year for fall applications is October 15; April 15 for spring applications.

Student Educational Opportunities Awards

Student Educational Opportunity Awards are granted on the basis of need and/or superior achievement warranting recognition. Foundation Student Awards may be used for workshops, camps, and enrichment opportunities. Students applying for funding must be currently enrolled in a CLSD school. Funding for Fall Student Awards may be used from December 1 through May 31 of the following year. Funding for Spring Student Awards may be used from June 1 through November 30 of the same year.

  • Deadline for submitting Fall applications is October 15. The Spring application deadline is April 15.
  • Awards range from $50-$1000.

Employee Educational Opportunity Awards

Employee Educational Opportunity Awards are available for CLSD employees for courses, workshops or other professional development not required for salary advancement or CEUs. Fall Employee Awards may be used from December 1 through May 31 of the following year. Funding for Spring Employee Awards may be used from June 1 through November 30 of the same year. Project Grants

Project Grants are awarded for innovative programs or initiatives that supplement the normal curriculum and extracurricular activities of the CLSD. Anyone may apply for these grants to provide enrichment or remedial activities to Cornwall-Lebanon students or adults. Fall Project Grant funds may be used from December 1 through May 31 of the following year. Funding for Spring Project Grants may be used from June 1 through November 30 of the same year. Thomas A. Sherk Scholarship

This scholarship was created in 2009 by the Falcon Foundation to honor the years of service and dedication Thomas A. Sherk provided to the Cornwall Lebanon School District. This scholarship is open to any senior student graduating from Cedar Crest High School who is planning to major in mathematics, mathematics education or elementary education at a four-year institution. The applicant must have at least a B or 3.0 GPA. The non-renewable scholarship award amount of $1000.00 is made payable directly to the university or college. Applications may be downloaded by clicking on the link in the upper left menu.
