Good afternoon, Cornwall-Lebanon,

On Wednesday, January 29, shortly after midnight, I had what they call a widow maker heart attack and cardiac arrest. Survival and full recovery of such an event is exceedingly low.

Immediate CPR by my 20-year-old son, Simon, and a quick EMT response following my wife’s call to 911, were vital factors to my survival.

I am humbled by the prayer and support from our community and staff and so very appreciative of your concern and well wishes.

Additionally, I am so thankful to the many skilled and compassionate medical professionals who saved my life and provided excellent care.

Miracles do happen and I am most grateful to God for this one as I will be around longer for my wife, children, and grandchildren, and to continue to be able to serve the students, staff and families of the Cornwall-Lebanon School District community.

Please know that I am recovering at home and look forward to seeing all of your soon!

God bless!

Phil
