Congratulations to Abigail Foltz who won first place in the 5th grade category for her essay in Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s Litter Hawk Youth Award Program. This was a very competitive contest with more than 800 total entries!

In her writing, Abby emphasized the importance of not littering, and, in real life, Abby started an anti-littering club at school. Abby’s work, along with the other first place winners from grades 1-6, will be showcased in the Pennsylvania State Capitol building during May. You can read Abby’s essay by clicking HERE.

PA Representative John Schlegel visited Abby’s classroom and presented her with a Certificate from the House of Representatives. The photo shows her with Rep. Schlegel and her teacher, Mr. John Mohn.
