Congratulations to the Cedar Crest Middle School Balsa Team that won 1st place at the Odyssey of the Mind State Competition! Students participating this year are Ethan Demchak, Chase Demchak, Noah Belcher, Brin Baker, Sam Sheahan, Flint Lowrie, and Wyatt Freed. The team will be moving on to the World Competition at Michigan State University in May.
Odyssey of the Mind is non-profit organization that coordinates a creative problem-solving program for students in grades K-12 and college. The program provides students a creative outlet to develop their STEAM skills — science, technology, engineering, arts, and math — while working as a team to develop solutions that are presented at competitions around the world. Thanks to Mrs. Lorraine Lowrie and Mr. Nathan Lowrie for coaching many successful CCMS teams over the years.
