At the February 12, 2024, regular meeting, the Cornwall-Lebanon School District Board of School Directors voted to approve the hiring of Nicholas Lambros, Jr., as Head Football Coach at Cedar Crest High School (CCHS). Lambros succeeds Robert Wildasin who resigned in January after successfully leading the Falcon football program for ten years.

Lambros has 20 years of coaching experience at Cedar Crest, serving as assistant football coach for the past three head coaches. He was defensive coordinator for the varsity program for the past seven years. Prior to that, he coached offensive line/linebackers, defensive ends/backs, multiple position groups, and served one year as special teams coordinator.

A 1998 graduate of Cedar Crest High School and four-year varsity football athlete, Lambros was team captain his senior year and earned 1st Team All-County and All League Linebacker honors. Recruited by Bloomsburg University as a linebacker, he played one red-shirt year.

Lambros earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction at Bloomsburg. He earned a Master of Arts in history from American Public University, W.V. In 2004, he returned to Cornwall-Lebanon School District as coordinator of the on-campus alternative education program for CCHS and Cedar Crest Middle schools and was Head Jr. High School Coach. For the past 17 years, he has taught Social Studies at Cedar Crest High School.

“Coaching is an extension of teaching,” said Lambros. “My ultimate dream has been to provide the same kind of positive experiences to our student athletes that I was afforded as a student at Cedar Crest. I am confident I can provide the kind of coaching and student athlete development within our football program that will make the school and community proud to be Falcons.”

Congratulations, Coach Lambros!
